The Anglicare Tasmania’s Child and Youth Mental Health Service has been co-located at KIDHS, beginning Thursday, 19 August, 2021 and will continue for the remainder of the 2021 school year. This will serve as a pathway for referrals to appropriate services, and provide the availability of someone on site, on a monthly basis, to deliver an open-door approach service, providing psychoeducation and mental health information to the school community. Jade Rhodes will be the practitioner providing this face-to-face service; Jade will not be replacing or acting in the same capacity as the Department of Education School Social Worker service. Jade will work in collaboration with KIDHS to deliver a flexible, high-quality and responsive early intervention and/or preventative service to support the unique needs of the school students. Students and parents can complete a referral form, available from office staff, to access the service.
